Fusion Sushi Club
And, finally, I'm back. Due to a lack of Internet connection, my posts have been delayed for a while.
My last discovery: Fusion Sushi Club (C/ Ample 33, at the Gotic District in Barcelona; M- Drassanes, L3; fusionsushi.blogspot.com ) was not the restaurant my flatmate and I were looking for. We were looking for a Japonese Restaurant, but it was full and disappointed as we were, we started wandering through the District and bumped into this great restaurant.
We were not very original: vegetable tempura, and two maki trays (salmon, avocado and tuna), but it was tasteful. The makis were as small as I like (I don't like those huge makis; argh!). As appetizer we were given banana and mango crunchy; very original.
The waiters are friendly and the restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, low light and soft music. The only objection I could find is that there's a huge window through which everyone can see you making your makis fall into your soya sauce... Otherwise, it could be perfect. Don't forget to book your table; it's a small restaurant and we were really lucky!
